Lesson 4 : Search Engines πŸš€



What is Search Engine? 

πŸ’œIt is a web software that helps users to search for information on the World Wide Web by entering keyword on it and websites contain the information will appear in seconds.

πŸ’š Google, Bing and Yahoo! Search enables users to search for any documents on the World Wide Web.

How does it actually work?
πŸ’™Web search engines work by sending out a spider or webcrawlers to fetch as many documents as possible. The usual starting point are lists of heavily used server and very popular pages. Another program, called the indexer, then reads these documents and creates and index based on the words contained in each document. In this way, the spidering system quickly begins to travel and spreads out across the most widely used portions of the Web.
